So far she seems more on the ball. Curtis could be a bit thick.

How was Curtis thick?

For a start he forgot what a flank 2 position was. Then when Michelle wanted to keep their forces at the periphery but Tony said, no, go to Jack's last known location and wait for him to draw fire, Curtis said nothing. He's thick a couple of times. Solid, but thick as two planks.

Well true, but he was acting on the current protocols and codes, not the ones from 18 months previous.
And I don't know where you mean on the second point.

Well season 7 does take place 4 years after 6. It's a long time.

Kiefer has said they learned in season 2 that he can't fall in love over the course of 24 hours. (Shame they didn't apply that to Nadia and Milo). I don't think she's a love interest. But there can be sexual tension - I'm all in favour of that.

Season 4 episode 13, 7-8pm.
Jack and Paul were checking out MacLennan Forster when the EMP went off, they are now in hiding. Michelle puts back up at the periphery, ignoring Tony's advice. Curtis does nothing to back Tony up.
Also, Curtis was very slow to rein Lynn McGill in when he was losing the plot.
All these things were required by the story - Curtis can't get these things right, because it's someone else's turn to be heroic. It's just the way his character is written.

Oh yeah, when Michelle basically got it wrong. Thanks.
It's a shame Curtis was written like that, he was great.
