Nor do I... That's if they do get him out? Maybe S8 (if there is one) will be focused on his demise.

OK - now I've seen it and I can join in. Sam - Jack will live. That's a prediction, not a spoiler. Season 8 will not show him dying of cjd. I don't know how he will survive - maybe he's immune, maybe there's an antidote, maybe he'll die and come back to life. But rest assured, he will live. Random pictures from Rainbow - I'm not sure Rainbow stays long enough to see the comments. As long as the pictures don't spoil my enjoyment of the show I really don't care. Evil - help me out here. A government force by direct order of the president can't raid a private compound? What exactly does it take to get a warrant? I was really shocked when Larry told Jack he couldn't do the raid without having proof of the weapon - I thought it was just one of those plot glitches to get them over to Jack's location. But really, if the authorities can't use force then I'm not sure what the point of having them is. Also, what's this posse comme-something they keep talking about - not deploying the military on US soil. I don't get it. There must be a reason I'm missing. Back to the episode - Renee cares! Two tears-worth. And Jack smiled and made a light comment to Larry! Wow. And the shower! I was right! He got his kit off! In the middle of the street! Oh joy!

Random pictures from Rainbow - I'm not sure Rainbow stays long enough to see the comments. As long as the pictures don't spoil my enjoyment of the show I really don't care. I sent PM's, that's what her warning level is about. Also, what's this posse comme-something they keep talking about - not deploying the military on US soil. I don't get it. There must be a reason I'm missing. There's a law, called the Posse Comitatus Act, which was passed sometime after the reconstruction of the USA. What it does is limit the powers of the armed forces to enforce law. It can only be done when Congress approves. Back to the episode - Renee cares! I knew she cared! I seriously hope they get it together. Two tears-worth. And Jack smiled and made a light comment to Larry! Wow. And the shower! I was right! He got his kit off! In the middle of the street! Oh joy! I saw it and instantly thought "Smitten will have liked that".

It can only be done when Congress approves. The reconstruction of the USA? When was that? But the point of the act - I feel it must have been a reaction to something. Will check wiki tomorrow. Ah - you know me too well!

The reconstruction was just after the civil war and the act itself was introduced because at some point some of the military held another military base or something.

Next question. I can't work out Greg's motivation. He's either loyal to Hodges or he isn't.
Ah - now wait, I think it's coming. He is loyal to Hodges, the whole thing was a set-up. He didn't kill the man he shot - he was wearing a vest. But all he's succeeded in doing is leading the FBI to Starkwood. Leading them into a trap? What good does that do, surely the FBI have more teams they can send if this lot get the chop? Or does he want to use them as hostages?
OK, I've got it - he is loyal to Hodges, the whole thing was planned to get Tony's trust and to lead the FBI to that location. I just can's work out how that helps Hodges. Maybe it'll all become clearer.
