I've just seen this - many of us will get to see this as part of the Redemption DVD package. WOW! I just can't wait - I mean, how long is it since we saw the trailer? Way back in the good old days before the writer's strike and Kiefer went to jail? And we thought season 7 was right around the corner. And after a year of impatient waiting, we finally get to see the first 16 minutes. I'll say this. I'm glad to see they're finally taking a moral stance on something. A little bit of backbone and ethical thinking has finally penetrated the writing team. Talking on a mobile phone while driving a car is wrong. It is dangerous and inconsiderate of other innocent road users. For too long, TV heroes like Jack Bauer have got away with this practice. Now all 24 viewers will know that if you drive while talking on your mobile, bad things will happen. That's all I'm saying right now. I just hope that those that criticise 24's moral stance take note.

I watched the first 17 min. of S7 too,I noticed the billing, they put Carlos Bernard way down there near the bottom. I hope that will improve as the season continues. He deserves better billing. I still believe they killed him off so he wouldn't interfer with Kiefer being on top. As a Carlos fan, he deserves better. I am also a Kiefer fan.

Just watched this again. All the ingredients are in place for a bargain here - Jack will help them out if they agree not to indict him. Do you think they will play that card? I can't see Jack being selfish enough to mention it - he seems to want to be judged.
Edit - OK, more questions. The senate hearing - there are TV cameras, journalists, etc. Now, a case like this here in the UK would attract a lot of media interest. High-ranking government agent, admitting to torture, that would be big, headline news. Jack's face plastered on all the front pages. Now, Jack doesn't like attention. He needs to be able to blend in. Is this the end of his career? He's going to have trouble doing undercover ops from now on. But they are talking about season 8...
And another question. The FBI were tailing the gang that grabbed Latham. That means they can close in when they want to. Bad guy numero uno is there - so, if they catch him, how will they string it out for 24 episodes?

I just noticed summary and comments of the sneak peek here: www.kiefersutherland24.net/I like the guy who writes these comments. Like this one: "And that’s what Latham gets for using his cell phone while driving" ooh, I can't wait, I can't wait, I can't wait!
